The Hillside Board of Education (the “board”) is seeking candidates for one board member vacancy, created due to a resignation, to serve until the end of December, 2017 (not December 2018 as previously indicated).  The minimum qualifications, as set forth in state law, are that candidates must reside in the township for at least one year at the time of their appointment.  They are to be able to read and write and must be registered to vote in the school district.  Candidates also may not be employees of the board, or members of the township council.
