Hillside Public Schools had an outstanding districtwide celebration in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 13th, 2024! Hillside Families and Community members filled the Hillside High School auditorium, as students from A.P. Morris, Hurden Looker, Deanna G. Taylor Academy and Ola Edwards performed. Artwork from Hillside Innovation Academy, W.O.K, and Hillside High School students was showcased throughout the auditorium. The Hillside High School dance ensemble performed as well! Thank you to the students, staff, and faculty who made this event successful. Thank you, Superintendent Glover, Board of Education President Ms. Best, the Hillside Board of Education, all of our community members in attendance, and those streaming the celebration from home! Hillside Public Schools staff and faculty filled the Hillside High School auditorium on the morning of January 3rd, 2024! Our Hillside professionals were treated to an astonishing presentation led by Mr. Abran Maldonado, leading Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) expert, ChatGPT, and OpenAI Ambassador! Mr. Maldonado introduced Hillside Public Schools staff to recent wonders in A.I. that can be utilized to revolutionize instruction within the classroom! Superintendent Glover delivered a motivational, inspiring speech before introducing Abran Maldonado to the stage. The Hillside Public Schools staff loved the presentation, it was the perfect way to commence the second half of the school year.

It was a "Super Holiday Giveaway" at A.P. Morris Early Childhood Center and Little Bears Daycare from December 20th - 21st, 2023! Superintendent Glover gifted presents and toys to A.P. Morris students and Little Bears children, with help from Hillside Public Schools staff! Toys were donated by @att pioneers, a non-profit national network of volunteers. Santa Claus came to town! Milk & Cookies with Santa 2023 is in the books, and it was spectacular! The Hillside High School gymnasium was filled to near capacity on the night of December 13th, 2023, as Hillside families, students, and children were greeted by Santa Claus himself! Parents, and families, got to take pictures with Santa, participate in various fun activities at different tables, and receive gifts during the toy giveaway! Thank you to the Hillside Police Department @hillsidepolicenj, Hillside Board of Education President, Ms. Cook, and the Hillside Board of Education for organizing this fantastic, unforgettable event for the community annually.
