On June 18th, 2025, our school community came together to honor and celebrate Juneteenth, recognizing the importance of freedom, resilience, and progress in our nation’s history. Scholars engaged in meaningful activities, presentations, and discussions that highlighted the significance of June 19, 1865 — the day when the last enslaved African Americans were informed of their freedom.
The celebration was filled with learning, reflection, music, art, and a deep sense of community pride. Through storytelling, student performances, and educational displays, our scholars demonstrated a strong understanding of the historical and cultural significance of Juneteenth.
We are proud of our students for embracing this important day with thoughtfulness and respect. Thank you to our staff, families, and community members for supporting this meaningful celebration of freedom and hope.
"Juneteenth is not just history — it’s a call to continue striving for justice and equality for all."
