CHIPP

At Deanna G. Taylor Academy (DGTA), we are proud to support the well-being of our students and families both inside and outside of the classroom.

Recently, Vice Principal Budhu helped distribute weekend food packs to our families through a partnership with Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® — Beta Alpha Omega Chapter and their signature program, the Childhood Hunger Initiative Power Pack (AKA CHIPP™).

AKA CHIPP™ provides weekend and holiday meals for children within local communities and is targeted to be Alpha Kappa Alpha’s most ambitious childhood hunger program to date. The initiative helps ensure that students have access to nutritious food even when school is not in session, supporting their health, focus, and overall success.

We are grateful to Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® — Beta Alpha Omega Chapter for their continued commitment to service and to our DGTA families. Partnerships like these strengthen our community and remind us that when we work together, we can make a meaningful difference in the lives of children.

Special thank you to Mrs. Brennan and Mrs. Fernandes for making this effort possible week after week and for helping us continue to serve our students with care, compassion, and purpose.
