Muslim Heritage

Celebrating Muslim Heritage Month

This month, Hillside Public Schools is proud to recognize Muslim Heritage Month — a time to celebrate the rich history, cultures, traditions, and contributions of Muslim communities around the world and within our own.

Muslim Heritage Month offers us an opportunity to learn more about the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and achievements of Muslim individuals in fields such as science, education, medicine, art, literature, and civic life. It is also a time to promote understanding, respect, and inclusion by uplifting voices and stories that are often underrepresented.

Throughout the month, students and staff are encouraged to engage in learning activities, classroom discussions, and reflections that highlight the values of empathy, curiosity, and mutual respect. By honoring Muslim Heritage Month, we reaffirm our commitment to creating a welcoming and inclusive school environment where every student and family feels seen, valued, and respected.

We thank our community for joining us in celebrating diversity and strengthening our shared commitment to kindness, equity, and learning.
