Hurden Looker Elementary School hosted a wonderful breast cancer awareness walk earlier this afternoon (10/25/2024)! Students wore pink and walked around the perimeter of the Hurden Looker school building. The event culminated with students lining up in the playground and forming the shape of a breast cancer awareness ribbon! Hurden Looker had an amazing assembly on October 23rd, 2024. Prismatic Magic came to share the message of the kindness quest! Kindness Quest blends music and teamwork to explore awareness, empathy, and compassion. Students embark on an engaging laser journey that highlights the importance of community and friendship! They encounter the larger-than-life laser character Max Bravado, who brings learning to life with puzzles, games, and stunning optical illusions. Hillside Public Schools' 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Festival (9/21/2024) was a huge success! Shout out to all of the students, families, and members of the Hillside community who attended the festival at Hurden Looker School to celebrate Hispanic Heritage. Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized yearly from September 15th - October 15th! We had food trucks, painters, bouncy houses, balloon animals, games, music, and more! At Hurden Looker Elementary School, Ms. Craig's 6th-grade students invited Mrs. Lorelli’s 2nd-grade class to attend their Math Carnival! They had math game stations set up and Mrs. Lorelli’s students had to visit each station, play a math game, and they got to receive a prize ticket.
