Assessment and Testing

Educators use assessments to measure students' academic readiness, monitor learning progress, track skill development, and identify educational needs. These assessments provide insight into what students know, enabling teachers to adjust their instruction to support students better.

Throughout the school year, various assessments are administered. In New Jersey, students in grades 3-9 are required to take the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA), and students in grades 11 take the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment.
