The Hillside School District buildings range in age from over 100 years old (1913) to a few years old. In 2017 a four-room addition and a new gymnasium was completed to the Ola Edwards Community School, formerly George Washington School. With the professional services of the ENV Group, the district will take advantage of the benefits of the ESIP (Energy Savings Improvement Program) through lighting upgrades, solar energy, and many other energy-saving measures. This in return will help pay for the biggest challenge that faces the Hillside School District with aging buildings, New HVAC Equipment.
