Hillside Public Schools' 2nd Annual Hispanic Heritage Month Festival (9/21/2024) was a huge success! Shout out to all of the students, families, and members of the Hillside community who attended the festival at Hurden Looker School to celebrate Hispanic Heritage. Hispanic Heritage Month is recognized yearly from September 15th - October 15th! We had food trucks, painters, bouncy houses, balloon animals, games, music, and more! Deanna G. Taylor Academy (DGTA) hosted its annual Back to School Night on Thursday, September 19th from 6 -7 pm! It was an evening filled with resources for families! 6th Grade Scholars Kennedy James and Faith Romain, representatives of our Student Government, volunteered to inform families of the importance of voter registration. Support and information for lunch applications and the parent portal were available! Hillside Public Schools has collaborated with @scholastic and will work together during the school year to "foster a love for reading, improve literacy skills, and cultivate welcoming spaces for families and caregivers to engage in children's education"!
