It's the 100th Day of School at Hillside Public Schools! Students and Staff celebrated the day by dressing up to be 100 years old! Students at A.P. Morris Early Childhood Center participated in activities that consisted of counting 100 as well! Hillside High School Drama 2 & 3 students, with their teacher, Ms. Rachel Pribish, visited Two River Theater in Red Bank to see the World Premier production of The Scarlet Letter by Kate Hamill! 5th-grade students in Ms. Crisanaz's class at Hurden Looker Elementary School recently participated in a V-Lab with Students2Science! This week's V-Lab centered on the Candy Color Wheel and Mixing and Separating Colors. Students explored the relationships between primary and secondary colors as they blended and separated them using a variety of techniques. Today (2/7/2024) was World Read Aloud Day! Hillside Public Schools District had a massively successful World Read Aloud Day that consisted of Hillside Board of Education Members, Union County Commissioners, @hillside_firefighters, @hillsidepolicenj, Superintendent Glover, Hillside Public Schools Supervisors, Teachers, and Staff! Our District Leaders visited classrooms throughout Ola Edwards Community School, and A.P. Morris Early Childhood Center to read to our young students, and the students loved it! Shoutout to our Hillside Comets basketball team, securing a victory over Rahway (2/6/2024) in an awesome game!

Hurden Looker Elementary School's 4th grade students competed in the World Wide Math Academics Cup Competition! Over 250 schools and over 8000 students participated in this competition. Hurden Looker went as high as 6th place by the end of the school day but was knocked back to 11th place by the evening (Some schools continued to play after hours). Regardless, Hillside Public Schools is incredibly proud of our Hurden Looker students!
