Congratulations to Hillside High School student and volleyball player, Jesus Diaz who was named Hillside's Union County Conference Athlete of The Week! "Diaz is the Hillside Volleyball team’s libero and he is crucial for the team’s defense and success. Not only is he the best passer and receiver (283 digs) on the team, but he also does a great job as Hillside’s second setter (24 assists) when we are out of system. Diaz is the captain of the team and shows his leadership every day on-and-off the court. This year, Diaz has 7 kills, 24 assists, 76 service points, 23 aces, and 283 digs. Last week, Diaz became Hillside's all-time dig leader with 372!"
