Ms. Crisanaz’s class from Hurden Looker Elementary School won the Federal Court essay contest on the importance of a jury trial in America! The class was invited to the Federal Courthouse in Newark on May 2nd, 2024. The class received a tour of Magistrate Judge Almonte's courtroom! Students met and spoke with Judge Almonte and Judge Farbiarz, received a certificate for their achievement, and a demonstration from the Federal Marshall Service! Lunch was provided to our students as well. It was a wonderful experience!
